Magical Warfare (Mahou Sensou)

So! For those of you who watch anime, I finished one recently titled Magical Warfare! Just the name sounds exciting, doesn’t it? However, this anime was not as good as expected, and I would rate it 4/10.

Storyline

In this modern magic action story, Takeshi Nanase is an ordinary high school boy who has a somewhat dark past. However, one day, he comes across a girl named Mui Aiba, in a uniform he has never seen before, collapsed on the school campus. This encounters changes Takeshi’s destiny completely. Mui tells Takeshi that she is a magician, and she apologizes, for she turned Takeshi into a magician, too. What Takeshi once knew as one world is actually two — the world where magicians live and the world where humans live.   (According to Crunchyroll)

And might I add that the magician world is wracked with destruction and different war mongering factions.

The beginning of the story was interesting and somewhat exciting. But after that, the storyline fell apart. I didn’t know what the heck was going on with drama, snippets of mindless destruction, and random characters.

Know that this is not just my own opinion; for example:

“The anime had a nice start, good pace, decent character introduction with a nice level of intrigue involved. After a little bit though, it just kind of started to fall apart. Basically like they were originally planning to do 24 episodes and about 6 episodes through they were like… oh !@#$, we’re only being paid for 12. If you’re an anime fan, you know what that means. As far as the “ending” goes, the only thing that came to mind was “Wut.” Hope this review was helpful.”
