To those it may concern, and to those who may not know,
It takes an awful lot to create something. Even more than that- it takes an awful lot to create something big. To create something grand; with various moving parts and things and ideas and stories to be told and to be heard, all in cultivation of a single tone, a single creation, a single shot.
This is the Minarets Annual Lip Dub, and after countless moments of preparation, intolerable amounts of effort, and boundless enthusiasm, a creation may be born- and this creation may be one of worth or praise.
The process begins in a meeting, a single particular meeting for that matter, where the Minarets Media team gathers with each other in the attempts to green light the project which a song choice. This meeting is held early in production, where ideas are thrown left and right upon the matters of what tune is to be used in the Lib Dub film.
However, this process can take more than once- there may a certain instance where multiple meetings must the held in order to decide this extremely important detail. For the song drives the film, the song is the very foreground of the entire video. This detail is an incredibly important one, and is always to be decided with care.
After such a decision, pre-production is allowed to begin. This stage of the making of the Lib Dub is one where all props are gathered, all talent is gathered, the Lib Dub route is written, and all ideas are laid upon a table to be carefully inspected and considered. This stage is the stage where most creativity happens, and all who are on the production team are donating endless amounts of ideas to the cause.
After everything has been prepared, the day comes of the Lip Dub shooting, and this is the biggest day of the entire production- literally! On this day, the entirety of the school is to gather to capture something spectacular on the camera, and on this day all shooting is done.
And finally, after a rigorous day of insanity and (hopefully) merriment, the film it edited, cut, and distributed online to the world; where it is shared, critiqued, and enjoyed by many. In summary, as you may now know, it takes an awful lot to create something big, or at all grand; something with various moving parts and things and ideas and stories to be told and to be heard, all in cultivation of a single tone, a single creation, a single shot. This is that process.
